Experience Overview:
This full-day gourmet tour through the mountain villages of Cyprus offers a relaxed and authentic way to experience the island’s flavors, traditions, and scenic landscapes.. Fresh country air, picturesque views, and local cuisine make this tour ideal for travelers interested in food, culture, and rural Cyprus.
The journey typically begins in Laneia Village, a beautifully preserved traditional village known for its cobbled streets, colorful courtyards, and small local museums. Visitors can enjoy a relaxed walk and get a true sense of Cypriot village life. The route continues to Agros Village and the well-known Rose Factory, where fragrant Damask roses are used to produce oils, perfumes, sweets, and liqueurs. Nearby workshops offer tastings of traditional smoked meats and handmade jams, prepared from fruits, vegetables, and even flowers — a reflection of Cyprus’ rich culinary heritage. Another highlight is Foini Village, where guests visit the family-run workshop Ourania Delights. Here, authentic Cypriot loukoumi is still produced using a traditional recipe dating back to the 1930s, followed by a tasting of these classic island sweets. The tour usually concludes at a local Cypriot winery, featuring tastings of red, white, and rosé wines, the famous Commandaria, Zivania, and other local liqueurs. The setting offers a chance to relax and enjoy panoramic mountain views after a day of cultural and culinary discoveries.
